about

Here is 30 minutes of music for your listening pleasure. I was experimenting with lots of usual and not-so-usual Mellotron sounds – and being forced to adhere to the eight-second rule, which means a certain nimbleness is required, even for slow material.

Whilst I was tempted to keep going, it felt like I should give way to some sequencing. There are three solos, the first two of which are Moog-ish and the last is ARP Odyssey-ish. None of them are right up there and in-your-face, they just drift around in the background.

As with the last few of my releases, I’ve been bedding in a new studio, and this time, it really is more of a studio, rather than simply an area where music is made. This has included some new instruments, which have definitely added some interesting sounds here (in my opinion).
