about

Welcome to 2024. I considered issuing this late in 2023 (late as in within minutes of the end of the year), but I decided to go for the shiny new year instead. Here is a selection of three of the tracks that I’ve played in the last few weeks. I felt it was more coherent like this, with the others collected up elsewhere later.

I do like to experiment with slightly different instruments, although my sound design is such that everything tends to sound quite similar. My hope is that this time there are some sounds slightly further from my usual centre; however, I’ll let you, constant listener, be the ultimate judge of that.

Everything is played live, straight to audio, with the effects baked in, which means if I make a mistake I either leave it in (and move on), or I play it again. There are some parts here where it was touch and go as to whether I could pull the parts off that way. Again, you can be the judge of whether I did or not.

I hope that you enjoy these three tracks, the first of which is a decent length for you to settle into – almost like one side of a long-ish LP. Yes, let’s think of it that way.
