Morphogenic Waves

Paul Asbury Seaman One of the best Berlin School/EM albums I’ve heard in years. The concept of long-form space music and ambient meditations too often feels like the indulgence of lazy artists who can’t be bothered to edit their material. (Klaus Schulze, whose name has become synonymous with extremely long tracks, actually released only a fraction of the music he produced.) However they were brought to completion, the two long tracks here are focused and feel fully realized. Favorite track: MW-0111.

Emancipators I have been a Berlin School addict for 35 years and have obviously built up a sequence-tolerance. Nice of Andy to include the unedited MW-0111 as it provides the necessary hit. Briliant Favorite track: Bonus: MW-0111 (unedited).

about

Here is a collection of some of the things that I've been playing late at night. I've been working with some new sequencer ideas, so apologies if you can hear some of the same "tricks" appearing in the tracks - I was (hopefully) getting better at implementing them.

I've also included a bonus track: the full, unedited version of track one. This does go on a bit as I was playing with the sequencers live and then playing some solos over the top. In beta testing, this track has driven adults to insanity. You may only listen to the unedited version once, but it's always there for you.
